Rick and Janella - Impressions Photography is a family business owned and operated by Rick and Janella Mathiesen since 1986 specializing in wedding photography in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area. Janella is the creative director and is responsible for arranging individuals and groups for your wedding day portraits. She is very particular, especially regarding the bride’s dress and flowers. When Janella has everything arranged just right, Rick captures the images. This team approach to photographing your wedding will help put the entire wedding party at ease and make the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone. Rick and Janella concentrate on recording beautiful images of your wedding day without dominating the whole experience. We respect the fact that this is the bride and groom’s day, not the photographer’s.

The Right Stuff - From the camera and lighting equipment lighting to professional photo finishing, Impressions Photography uses only the best available. We use high quality digital camera equipment to provide more creative and fun photographs. Studio style strobe lights provide soft lighting that is much more flattering than the harsh light from a small on-camera flash.
The Finished Product – Each of our plans include all of your wedding day photographs in a 4 X 6 inch preview size album. Other optional album choices are available.
